The plant basically consists of a crusher/granulator, rotary screen and a diesel engine or an electric motor. The complete alignment is based on a portable trolley with pneumatic wheels. Used when fewer segregations are required and cost effeciency is critical.

How does the crusher work?

Feed Hopper: Raw materials are loaded into the feed hopper, where they are directed into the crusher. A vibrating feeder or a grizzly feeder can be used to distribute the material evenly across the crusher.

Primary Crusher Components:

Jaw Crusher or Impact Crusher: Depending on the design and application, the primary crusher can be a jaw crusher or an impact crusher.

Jaw Crusher:

  • Movable Jaw: Attached to a swinging lever connected to an eccentric shaft. This shaft rotates, moving the jaw to crush the material.

  • Fixed Jaw: Stationary and provides a surface for the material to be crushed against.

  • Toggle Plate: Helps in transmitting power and protecting the crusher from overload.

Impact Crusher:

  • Rotor: Equipped with blow bars that strike the material, causing it to break.

  • Impact Plates: Stationary plates that the material is thrown against to achieve further reduction.

Crushing Process:

Jaw Crusher:

  • The eccentric shaft rotates, causing the movable jaw to move up and down, creating a squeezing motion.

  • Material is crushed between the two jaws as the space narrows.

  • Crushed material is discharged through the bottom of the crusher.

Impact Crusher:

  • Material enters the crusher and is struck by the rotating blow bars.

  • The impact breaks the material, which is then thrown against the impact plates.

  • Further reduction occurs as the material is repeatedly struck and thrown.

  • Crushed material exits through openings in the bottom or sides of the crusher.
